Observatory at Les Loups De Chabrieres

We had a day at Les Loups de Chbrieres to see the animals.

 

Next to the viewing platform is a large observatory. In my poor french I think it opens Jan 2010. But does anyone know about it?

I made a quick search on internet and nothing about the observatory.

 

The place seems to be connected to astronomy events and exhibitions as well.

Hello Mike,

 

there used to be an observatory, but it has gone out of activity since 2005 or 06, not enough visitors I guess, which is a pity as the Creuse sky is OK. Would be good news if it reopens in 2010. But, as for Tatien, I can't find anything on the net mentioning it.

It is a nice place. I have already see wolfs. It's beaufitful. But for observatory, I don't know.

The other piece of information I got was 650. I think this could mean the size of the telescope. If so, it sounds more interesting than before. Is it possible for someone to phone them and try and get the key before the end of my holidays?

some news will come at end of 2009 or beginning 2010...

Etant creusois je suis étonné de l'information concernant la réouverture du T450 de Chabrières. Aux dernières nouvelles la com-com qui gère le site voulait dissocier l'astronomie du parc à loups. Peut on avoir plus d'infos?
